Question 200355: Simplify; express answer with only positive exponents.
(a-2/3b1/2)(a3/2b2/3)
what I got was this below now to me 1 it doesnt even look right not to mention I and having hard time typing it right on here can you please help me
=a^-2/3+2/3b^1/2+2/3
=a^3b^1
=a^3(1/b)= a^3/b
Answer by RAY100(1637) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a^(-2/3) b^(1/2) * a^(3/2) b^(2/3)
.
Remember,,,a^n * a^m = a^(n+m)
.
a^ ( -2/3 + 3/2) * b^( 1/2 + 2/3),,,,,,,,-2/3 +3/2 = (-4+9)/6,,,,= 5/6,,,and 1/2+2/3=(3+4)/6 = 7/6
.
a^(5/6) *b^(7/6)
.
check
Let a=2,,,b=3,,,,original = 6.42,,,,,answer = 6.42,,,,,,ok
