X+4 5
______ - ____
2
2X -2X 2X-2
========================
Rewrite:
[(x+4)/(2x^2-2x)] - [5/(2x-2)]
Factor where you can:
= [(x+4)/(2x(x-2))] - [5/(2(x-1))]
least common denominator = 2x(x-2)(x-1)
= [(x+4)(x-1)]/lcd - [5(x-2)]/lcd
Combine the numerators over the lcd
= [x^2+3x-4 - 5x + 10]/lcd
= [x^2-2x+6]/lcd
-----
= [x^2-2x+6]/[2x(x-2)(x-1)]
