Answer by RAY100(1637)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/(x-3) +1/(x+5) = (x+1)/(x-3)
multiply both sides by LCD =(X-3)(X+5)
(x+5) +(x-3) = (x+1)(x+5)
2x+2= x^2+6x+5
subt 2x+2 both sides
0=x^2+4x+3
factor
0=(x+1)(x+3)
set x+1=0, x=(-1)
set x+3=0,,x=(-3)
check
(-1) 1/-4 +1/4=0/-4
-1+1=0 ok
(-3) 1/-6 +1/2= -2/-6
-1+3=2 ok
