Problem- y= x(squared) + x - 6 over 3x(squared) - 12
It says that I need to find and classify any points of discontinuity.
I also have to do this problem- y= x over x(squared) - 9

To find the points of discontinuity for y=%28x%5E2%2Bx-6%29%2F%283x%5E2-12%29, simply set the denominator 3x%5E2-12 equal to zero and solve for "x". The solutions that you get for the equation 3x%5E2-12=0 will make the denominator zero. Since division by zero is undefined, these values are NOT in the domain (which leads to a discontinuity at that point).


Do the same for y=x%2F%28x%5E2-9%29 to find the points of discontinuity. Let me know if you need further help with this.
