Please help me with this problem:
Find the midpoint of the segment with endpoints (7,-5) and (-3, -9)
---------------
The easiest way to do these is to find the average of x and the average of y.
(7 + (-3))/2 = 2 avg of x
(-5 -9)/2 = -7 avg of y
Midpoint = (2,-7)

There are 2 different ways to solve this problem:
Graphically: plot the 2 points and measure the mid point.
Mathematically: explained below:
(7,-5) and (-3, -9)
x distance=(-3-7)=-10
x mid point=10/2=5 or 7-5=2, -3+5=2
y distance=(-9-[-5])=(-9+5)=-4
y mid point=4/2=2 or -9+2=-7, -5-2=-7
ans. (2,-7)
