You need to factor the denominator
Think of two numbers whose product is -72 and whose difference is -1
My first thought is -9 and 8

When you multply together you get 72 if you make 9 a -9
and you add -9+8 you get-1
x+8/(x-9)(x+8) you can now simplify the equation to 1/x-9
