2x+2y=6
adding the equations:
5x=12 then x=12/5
using 2nd eq 2(12/5)+2y=6
24/5 + 2y = 6
2y=30/5 -24/5=6/5
y=6/10=3/5
Answer: x=12/5 y=3/5
