What is the midpoint of the line that connects the points (-3, 2) and (1, -2)?
-----------------
If (x,y) is the midpoint, x is the average of the x-coordinates
and y is the average of the y-coordinates.
------------------
x = (-3+1)/2 = -1
y = (2+-2)/2 = 0
-----------------------
Midpoint is (-1,0)
