The ratio of the number who were puissant to the number who were diffident was 2 to 5. If there were 2450 who were either puissant or diffident, now manu were puissnat?
-----------------------
2 to 5 is the same as 2x to 5x where 2x is puissant.
EQUATION:
2x + 5x = 2450
7x = 2450
x = 350
2x = 700 (# of puissant out of 2450)
