Question 1184840: 5^(2x)-1=12^x
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20065)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

We can't solve that using algebraic methods.
We can only use iterative methods which are
really nothing but a series of trial and error
where the guesses are educated guesses, and
we never get the exact answer, because the
answer is irrational, but we get so close
that for all practical purposes we have the
answer.
In these modern times, we have technology
that does these processes for us and we
don't have to.
Using technology,
x≈0.41525899150350893175
