The given function    y = x^3 - 3x^2 - 6x + 8    is a polynomial,


and as any polynomial,  it has the domain   { all real numbers },    or    (-oo,oo).




It is a polynomial of the degree  3,  and as every polynomial of an  ODD  degree, 

    it has the range from  -oo   to  oo,    or    (-oo,oo).
