Question 1165296: A theater can accommodate at most 450 movie goers per show. The manager uses the formula C = 2(h + 150,000/ h) to determine the cost of operating the theater with people. How many people must watch a show to keep the cost down to Php1,600?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1600=2(h+150000/h)
800=h+150000/h
multiply through by h
800h=h^2+150000
so 0=h^2-800h+150000
0-(h-500)(h-300)
h=300 or 500, but the theater can only hold 450, so h=300 is the answer.
the cost will be 1600 Php
