Let "n" be the unknown number of items she bought.


Then the number of items she sold is (n-25).


The price she purchased each item was  .


The price she sold each item was  .


The difference in prices per item is 1 dollar


     -  = 1.


Solve this equation to find n.

For it, multiply both sides of the equation by n*(n-25);  then simplify and reduce the equation to standard form;
then solve it EITHER using the quadratic function OR factoring (on your choice).


ANSWER.  n = 250.


CHECK.    -  = 10 - 9 = 1.    ! Correct !
