Question 1142498: My apologies if this is not posted in the right category, but I am stumped by this problem.
Given g(x) = 6/x+4, evaluate and simplify: g(-5+h) - g(-5) / h
I know the basic formula for a derivative for binomial or polynomials, but easily confused when fractions are involved.

Answer by math_helper(2461)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Please check that you have written your equations correctly. For example, recall that 6/x+4 is equal to (6/x)+4. Similarly g(-5+h) - g(-5) / h is the same as g(-5+h) - (g(-5)/h).
It is not the tutor's job to correct these things.
