Question 113854: Could you please show the steps and solution to this statement:
Find the slope and the intercept of the following equation:
4x+3y=12
Thanks in advance!

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=mx+b
The equation must be in the slope-intercept form (above) to find the slope (m).
4x+3y=12
4x-4x+3y=-4x+12
3y=-4x+12
3y/3=-4x/3+12/3
y=-4x/3+4
m=-4/3
