This post consists of three sentences.
The first sentence
"The kinetic energy K of a moving object varies jointly with its mass m and the square of its velocity v."
is correct and makes sense.
The second sentence
"If an object weighing 40 kilograms with a velocity of 15 meters per second has a kinetic energy of 1000 joules"
is totally wrong, since the described object under the described condition has kinetic energy NOT 1000 joules,
but E = = = 4500 joules.
It is clear from the post that its author is absolutely not familiar with the subject.
