it looks like a polynomial function to me.
a power function is of the form y = a * x ^ b
this doesn't fit that form.
if you multiply the factors, you get 2x^4 - 6x^2 + 4x.
that has the form of a polynomial.

A product of polynomial functions is ALWAYS a polynomial function.
Therefore, when you see a product of polynomial functions (as in this case) - it is a polynomial function.
You even do not need to open parentheses and/or make FOIL to state it !
