Question 1127100: The Area of a rectangle in square feet Is given by the polynomial function A ( X) = 6X squared + 5X -4. If the width of the rectangle is (2X -1) feet, find the length
Answer by htmentor(1343)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A(x) = 6x^2 + 5x - 4
W = 2x - 1
L*W = (2x - 1)(ax + b)
2ax^2 + 2bx - ax - b = 6x^2 + 5x - 4
Thus a = 3, b = 4
Therefore L = 3x + 4
