When I see the formula like a), I don't know how to read it.


Is  it  6*(4^(-3))*x = 384   ?    ( which is   = 384 )


Or  6*(4^(-3x)) = 384  ?          ( which is   = 384  )


Or something different  ??


When you see your formula in your textbook, you can distinct them, because in the textbook they use typography tools.


But in this site the typography tools do not work.


Therefore,  the only way to make your formulas unambiguous, when you post them to this forum, is to use parentheses.


Use them systematically and properly.
