:
8 / (t+5) = (t-3)/(t+5)(t+2) + (1/3)
:
the common denominator is (t+5)(t+2)3
:
multiply both sides of = by common denominator
:
(8)(3)(t+2) = 3(t-3) + (t+5)(t+2)
:
24t +48 = 3t-9 + t^2+7t+10
:
t^2 -14t = 47
:
complete the square
:
t^2 -14t +49 = 47 + 49
:
(t - 7)^2 = 96
:
t - 7 = + or - 9.798
