Question 1036930: Help me find the graph of 2^x+1
as well as the horizontal asymptote, the domain and range please.
Thanks in advance :)

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2^x +1
Domain, all x
Range: 2^x can never be negative, and as x becomes more and more negative, it approaches 0, The horizontal asymptote is therefore 1, since that is added on to the 2^x. The range is (1,oo).
When graphing these, pick x=1,0, and -1. That will give you the three points you need.
The function will then be equal to 3, 2, and 1.5 respectively.
