The function f(x) = (𝑥)=5𝑥−4 did not come out on this site.
So I'll just make up an arbitrary function for f(x):

Say f(x) = 2x²-3x+4

1.	Find f(x+h) = 2(x+h)²-3(x+h)+4
	     f(x+h) = 2(x²+2hx+h²)-3x-3h+4  
             f(x+h) = 2x²+4hx+2h²-3x-3h+4 

2.	Find f(x) = 2x²-3x+4

3.	Find f(x+h)–f(x) = (2x²+4hx+2h²-3x-3h+4)-(2x²-3x+4) 
             f(x+h)–f(x) = 2x²+4hx+2h²-3x-3h+4-2x²+3x-4
             f(x+h)–f(x) = 4hx+2h²-3h
             f(x+h)=f(x) = h(4x+2h-3)
