60x2 = 120 mins
60x3 = 180 mins
2/3 = 1/60
90 mins

1 pipe can fill a large tank in 5 hours and a smaller pipe can fill the same tank in 3 hours. How long will it take both pipes to fill the tank if they are turned on at the same time?
60 x 5 = 300 mins
60 x 3 = 180 mins
300 - 180 = 120
120/60 = 2
take 2 hours to fill

Question 489756: If 3 people can do a job in 20 hours how long would it take 4 people to do the same job.
I tried a ratio: 3 is to 4 as 20 is to x (3/4 =20/x) = 60/4x divide each side by 4 and x is 15. Am I on the right track?
