Question 309094: Here is my problem, A mad scientist develops a formula which can turn a light bulb into a camel. Working alone, it takes the scientist 4 hours to create one dose of formula. The mad scientist's slightly mad assistant Igor can make one dose in 12 hours. How long, working together, will it take the mad scientist and Igor to create one dose of formula. Answer the question by using a table and 5 step method.
I set the problem up like x/4+x/12=1 my answer was x=1/4. I don't think I have it set up correctly. Can you help me to set up the problem and I can finish working it out. Thanks a bunch!

Question 309762: A completes one work in20 days. B cmpletes the same work in 25 days while C completes the same in 30 days. If intially A started the work and after 4 days he quit it. Next B carry forward the work & he copleted the half of the remaining work then how in how many days the C will cmplete the remaining work?
