Question 289413: It takes 10 hours to fill a pool with the inlet pipe. It can be emptied in 15 hours with the outlet pipe. If the pool is half full to begin with, how long will it take to fill it from there if both pipes are open?
i think i have it at here but im not sure i worked it out to be..

Question 290751: An empty pool being filled with water at a constant rate takes 8 hours to fill to 3/5 of its capacity. How much more time will it take to finish filling the pool?
The answer is 5 hr and 20 min, but I don't understand why you don't divide 3/5 by 8? Shouldn't we apply the formula Rate = Amount (3/5)/ Time (8)?
