Working alone, one builder can frame a room addition in 12 hours. Another, more experience builder, can do the same job only in 8 hours. How long would it take them to frame the room addition of they work together?

One does 1/12 of the job per hour
The other does 1/8 of the job per hour.
Together, they do 1/12 + 1/8 per hour
= 5/24 job/hr
--> 24/5 = 4.8 hours for the job
