Let r be the one-worker rate, JOBS per DAY.
RT=J rate time job
for the basic facts for the original group of twelve.
The twelve original worked for 5 days, and then the 12-3=9 workers remaining worked for t unknown days to finish the 1 job. -----simplify this complex fraction for the number of days.
Multiply by to start the best simplification steps.

Two ways to work this problem:
First:
Let x=the number of extra days it takes to complete the job
It takes 12*25=300 man-days to complete the job
In 10 days, 12 workers put in 10*12=120 man-days, leaving 180 man-days of work yet to completed
Soooo, there are 9 workers left to complete the job
9x=180 man-days
x=20 days----number of extra days required
Second:
Let x=the number of extra days it takes to complete the job
12 workers work at the rate of 1/25 of the job per day
1 worker works at the rate of 1/300 of the job per day
9 workers work at the rate of 9/300 of the job per day
In 10 days 12 workers complete 10/25 =2/5 of the job, leaving 3/5 of the job yet to be completed
Sooooo:
(9/300)x=3/5
45x=900
x=20 days---number of extra days required
It's not altogether clear what this problem is asking. If it's asking how many days over and above 25 is needed, then the answer would be (10+20)-25=5 days over and above the 25.

There was 12 workers and to complete the job will take 5 weeks and each week is 5 days long. After 10 days three worker quit. How many more days extra will it take to finish the job.
Original number of days to complete job: 5(5), or 25
Number of days 12 workers spent on job: 10
Number of days 9 workers need to complete job: 20
Extra days needed: (10 + 20) - 25, or
