Let x = A's time alone
then
(x+5) = B's time alone

Let the completed job = 1
:

:
multiply x(x+5) to get rid of the denominators
6(x+5) + 6x = x(x+5)
:
6x + 30 + 6x = x^2 + 5x
:
12x + 30 = x^2 + 5x

A quadratic equation:
x^2 + 5x - 12x - 30 = 0
:
x^2 - 7x - 30 = 0
:
(x - 10)(x + 3) = 0
:
x = 10 days, A alone (only solution that makes sense)
