Question 887671: It takes 25 people to build a house in 36 days. How long would it take 15 people to build the same house if they worked at the same rate?
Answer by sadike007(4) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
using the ratio and proportion method. 25 men build 1 house every 36 days, 15 men build one house every x days.. so we have
25 men → 1 house/36 days
15 men → 1 house/ x days
we then 'cross multiply'
25(1/x) = 15/36
solve for x and get 60 days.
