Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/8+1/12+1/24=1/x
x=4
4/8 the first pipe does half or 3/6 or the work
4/12 the second pipe does 1/3 or 2/6 of the work
4/24 the third pipe does 1/6 of the work
for a total of one job well done.
