Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/x+1/x=1/30
2/x=1/30
60=x
each pump takes 60 hours alone
now with 5 pumps
5/60=1/x
1/12=1/x
x=12 hours with 5 pumps
30-12=18 hours quicker.
