Question 833451: A can complete a job in 9 days, B can do the same job in 10 days and C can do it in 15 days. B and C together started the work but had to leave the job after 2 days. Find the number of days in which A alone will be able to complete the remaining job.
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/9+1/10+1/15=1/x,
2/10+2/15=z
x = 18/5, z = 1/3
1/3 of the job is done leaving 2/3
A can do 2/3 of the job in 6 days
2/3*9=6
