Question 822829: (This problem is rather odd and lengthy, so, please, bear with me.)
Dove is reading a book of facts on alpacas. The book contains over 66 chapters. She reads at an average rate of 3 words per second. There is an average of 20 words per sentence and an average of 6 sentences per paragraph. The average amount of paragraphs in a chapter is 12. About every 25 minutes Dove gets distracted and each distraction lasts about 2 minutes.
If Dove starts reading the book at 9:30am, what chapter will she be on at 11:45am?

:
Find how many words in a chapter
20 * 6 * 12 = 1440 words
;
Find how many words he reads in 25 minutes
3 * 60 * 25 = 4500 words in 25 minutes, however, for 2 min he does not read
4500 words in 27 min so that is
= 167 words per min average
:
Find how many minutes from 9:30 to 11:45: 120 + 15 = 135 minutes
Find how many chapters read in this time
~ 16 chapters by 11:45
I should say he will be on Chapter 15 at 11:45
