If John can pick 27.66 apples per minute and you want to know what time will he pick 1425 apples:
(1425 apples)/(24.66 apples/min)
The apples drop out of the equation, because they are in both the numerator and denominator.
1425/24.66 min
we then get
approx. 57.79 minutes.
