Work word Problem: Mr. Reyes can finish a painting in 7 days Mr. del Carmen in 9 days and Mr. Cruz in 6 days. in how many days can the three men finish the painting if they work together?
Mixture Problems: 1.Aling Gloria has candies that sell for P200.00 and P350.00 per kg.How many kg of each must be mixed together to make 100kg of candy that would be sold at P310.00 per kg?
2. A chocolate factory has two kinds of chocolate mini-bars which cost P300 and P400 per kg respectively. How many kg of each must the firm use to make a mixture of 70kg to sell at P345 per kg?

Rey's rate: 1/7 job/hr
Car's rate: 1/9 job/hr
Cruz's rate: 1/6 job/hr
Together rate: 1/x job/hr

Equation:
1/7 + 1/9 + 1/6 = 1/x
54x + 42x + 63x = 378
159x = 378
x = 2.38 hrs = 2 hrs 23 miutes (time to do the job together

Mixture Problems: 1.Aling Gloria has candies that sell for P200.00 and P350.00 per kg.How many kg of each must be mixed together to make 100kg of candy that would be sold at P310.00 per kg?
Equation:
value + value = value
200x + 350(100-x) = 310*100
-----
200x + 35000 - 350x = 31000
------
-150x = -4000
x = 26 2/3 kg (amt. of P200 candy needed)
100-x = 73 1/3 kg (amt. of P350 cady needed)
