Question 767028: Question A) A company needs to clear 400ha of land. The company has newly acquired a D7 H bulldozer and is renting another bulldozer (D7R). A bulldozer consumes 200 litres of fuel per day and cost of fuel is 3350/litre. The two bulldozers have different conditions and work efficiency differs according to machine condition and operator. The company currently pays 1,200,000 UGX daily for the dry-hire bulldozer.
How much money will the company spend on fuel for both bulldozers to clear all the 400 hectares?

Question A (ii) If the cost of a new bulldozer is $120,000 advice the company on whether to buy a new bulldozer or to hire another bulldozer in addition to the two already existing bulldozers if the company needs to clear the 400 ha in a shorter time than it would take to clear this same piece of land using the above options (One hired and one company bulldozer).
