Question 708796: If 4 workers can paint a house in 8 hours,
then 2 workers can paint the same house in how many hours

Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=amount of time it takes 2 workers to paint the house
If 4 workers can paint the house in 8 hours, then 1 worker can paint the house in 4*8=32 hours
In other words, the house requires 32 man-hours to paint
Soooo our equation to solve is:
2*x=32
x=16 hours
Hope this helps---ptaylor
