Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=amount of time it takes to do 20 math problems
If you can do 12 math problems in 45 min, you work at the rate of 12/45 of a math problem per min. So our equation to solve is:
(12/45)*x=20
x=20(45/12)=(5/3)*45=75 min---ans
CK
(12/45)*75=20
20=20
Hope this helps---ptaylor
