Write an equation for each statement;
:

a + b = 25
a = (25-b); we can use this form for substitution

"Job A pays $7.50 per hour and Job B pays $8.40 per hour.he made $200.10"
7.50a + 8.40b = 200.10
replace a with (25-b)
7.50(25-b) + 8.40b = 200.10
187.50 - 7.50b + 8.40b = 200.10
-7.50b + 8.40b = 200.10 - 187.50
.90b = 12.60
b = 12.60/.9
b = 14 hrs on job B
