Hi,

Working together, paul and daniel can pick forty bushels of apples in 4.95 hrs.

 Had he done it alone it would have taken daniel 9 hrs. 

How long would it take paul to do it alone?

Question states*** PER hour Key

 1/9 + 1/x  = 1/4.95   |Multiplying thru by so as all denominators = 1

  4.95x + 9*4.95 = 9x
