rate working together
Rate of push mower: ( 1 area ) / ( 6 hrs )
Rate of riding mower: ( 1 area ) / ( 5 hrs )
Let = time in hrs to mow 1 area working together
Rate working together: ( 1 area ) / ( t hrs )

Multiply both sides by

It will take 2.73 hrs
This is about 2 hrs and 44 min ( .73*60 = 44 )
