mi
The 5 mi/hr walker has a 7.5 mi head start
Start a stopwatch when the 12 mi/hr runner starts
It will now take them both the same amount of time
until they meet. Call this time
Runner's equation:
(1)
Walker's equation:
(2)
(2)
(2) hrs

It will take the runner 1 hr and 4 min to catch walker
Really strange numbers, hope I got it right
