Hi,
Let x represent time it would take to fill the pool if both pipes were working
Question states*** Per hour the Equalizer
1/15 + 1/24 = 1/x |Mulitplying thru by 15*24*x so as all denominators = 1
24x + 15x = 15*24
39x = 360
x = 360/39 = 120/13 = 9.23 hr
