Question 433243: When a factory buys machinery the original price will depreciate on a yearly basis due to use. If the machinery costs $50,000.00 dollars it will depreciate by $1,800.00 the first year, $1,750.00 the second year, and $1,700.00 the third year, etc.
We now need to find out the amount of deprecation during the fifth year.

It looks like the depreciation is $50 less than the previous year
1st yr: 1800
2nd yr: 1750
3rd yr: 1700
4th yr: 1650
5th yr: 1600
The depreciation is $1,600 the 5th year
