well if all 3 are working together, you would just average all 3 times together.
4+5+6=15
then divide it by 3 (3 boys)
15/3=5
together, it will take the boys 5 hours to paint the fence.

1 does 1/4 per hour
1 does 1/5 per hour
1 does 1/6 per hour
Together, they do 1/4 + 1/5 + 1/6 per hour
= 15/60 + 12/60 + 10/60 = 37/60 per hour
--> 60/37 hours/fence
=~ 1.62 hours
