Two trains start from the same station and run in opposite directions at an average rate of 64 kilometers per hour and 86 kilometers per hour, respectively. In how many hours will they be 255km apart.
----
separation rate = 86+64 = 150 km/h
---
Equation:
distance = rate*time
255 = 150*t
t = 255/150
t = 1.7 hrs
t = 1 hr 42 minutes

Trains travel in opposite direction, so relative velocity = (64+ 86)= 150 km/h

time = distance / velocity
time require to make distance of 255 km = 255/150 hours

= 17/10 hours
