Question 348054: jodie bicycles 7km faster than dennis, in the same time it takes dennis to bicycle 60km, jodie can bicycle 81km, how fast does each bicyclist travel
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
dennis's speed be x kph
Jodie's speed = x+7 kph
...
Dennis 60 km
Jodie = 81 km
...
The times are same
...

60(x+7)=81x
60x+420=81x
81x-60x=420
21x=420
/21
x=420/21
x=20 kph speed of Dennis
x+7 = 20+7 = 27 = Jodie's speed
