Question 27016: SOMEBODY PLS HELP ME! THIS IS DUE IN A FEW MINS AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE IT!!!

Steve traveled 200 miles at a certain speed. Had he gone 10mph faster, the
trip would have taken 1 hour less. Find the speed of his vehicle.

Answer by Paul(988)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Equation:

200[(x)-(x-10)=(x)(x-10)

Factor (x+40) and (x-50)
Remove the negative.

Hence, the speed of the vechicle was 50mph.
