Question 260221: A crew of 30 people can build a certain road in 60 days. After the tenth day the plans are changed; the company wants the road built in 30, not 60 days. How many more people must be hired?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
30*60=1800 man days
30*10=300 man days expended
1800-300=1500 man days to go
1500/20=75 workers
75-30=45 more workers to be hired
