Question 22182: Okay, my problem is frustrating me. The problem is stated as: You know that your crew of 18 people can clean a 4,860 sq. ft. house in 3 hours. How long will it take a crew of 24 people to clean three houses of 2,400 sq. ft., 3,800 sq. ft., and 6,760 st. ft.? How would I solve this?
Answer by kendra4227(8)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First you would add 2,400+3,800+6,760; which equals 12,960
Then divide 24 into 12,960 which equals 540
If you multiply 4,860 by 2 divided by 18 you get 540
So if it took 18 crew of people to clean a 4,860 sq.ft. in 3 hours then it took 24 people to clean the three houses in 3 hours
